Orlando Sentinel videographer Joshua Cruey recently visited Evans Wellness Cottage on the Evans High School campus to tape an introduction of the facility for the newspaper’s website.
His video features commentary by Tasha Casaccio, a project manager with Central Florida Family Health Center, and Theresa Civil, a junior at Evans.
“Here at the Evans Wellness Cottage we offer primary medical services as well as behavioral health services and full dental services to anybody in the community of Pine Hills,” Casaccio says.
She goes on to explain that the facility has a community side and a student side.
“[The student side] gives parents the opportunity to allow students to see their primary health care provider during school hours without the parent having to leave work, take time out of their day,” she explains. “The student sees the provider, then goes back to class so they can continue their day without missing any additional time.”
