A junior at Evans, Cristina Perez (left) has overcome significant adversity over the past year, thanks to the consistent support and encouragement of success coach, Diana Soto. Ms. Soto has been helping Cristina through some life changes, including her parents’ divorce. Christina knew the divorce had impacted her but, through Ms. Soto’s help, she learned it impacted her even more than she realized.
Cristina and Ms. Soto talk about what is going on in life and how to make positive changes. Cristina appreciates the tips Ms. Soto offers on how to improve her studies and how she helps her have a better self-image.
“Ms. Soto helps me to feel better about myself by encouraging me to be happy with who I am,” Cristina said.
Cristina came to Ms. Soto for help with making better decision and facing adversity. She is very pleased with the results and is extremely appreciative of Ms. Soto’s guidance.
“I am happy that I’ve finally learned how to overcome my challenges,” she said. “I’ve learned to not allow my past to negatively impact my present.”
Cristina has learned to do whatever she can to be successful. She admits it takes great courage to seek help, but sometimes it’s necessary to help put forth the right amount of effort and to put your all into your education.
