Evans Community School will hold a health fair on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for Evans’ students, Evans’ families and other members of the Pine Hills community.
The “Pine Hills Healthapalooza” will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about important health problems, their impact and ways to combat them. There also will be opportunities to learn about and sign up for medical, food and financial assistance.
Representatives from the health care community will set up and host booths in the Evans High School courtyard. They will provide educational materials on dental hygiene, blood pressure, diabetes, mental health, personal fitness, and nutrition and cooking. On-site services will include blood pressure screening, diabetes testing, BMI screening and hearing testing.
In addition, the Evans’ Step Team, Choir and ROTC squad, along with Walker Middle’s Step Team, will perform at the fair.
